Product introduction：Blowout Preventer (BOP) is a commonly used safe sealed wellhead device in oilfields. It closes the wellhead to prevent blowouts during well testing, workover, and completion, integrating full and partial closure functions with simple structure, easy operation, and high pressure resistance. Given complex uncertainties in formations, drilling operations face blowout risks, making BOP a critical well control device that must quickly shut down wells in emergencies like overflow or kick. Its reasonable design is vital for smooth drilling and personal safety.
BOP are categorized into General BOP , Annular BOP, and Rotary BOP .
Annular BOP can be activated in emergencies to handle drilling tools of any size or open holes. Rotary BOP enable drilling while blowing out; for deep well drilling, two General BOP are usually combined with Annular and Rotary BOP, forming a three or four-unit assembly installed at the wellhead.
